Defendant in Gisèle Pélicot trial says he did not intentionally rape her
The lawyer for one of the 51 defendants accused of the rape of Gisèle Pélicot said he did not intentionally rape her.

Pélicot, who was raped by dozens of men at the invitation of her husband, has lashed out at their defence lawyers, accusing them of depicting her as a willing participant and an alcoholic, even though she had been in a drugged and comatose state.

She voiced outrage to the court about the way the lawyers for some of the 50 accused men had relayed their claims that they believed she had consented and was enacting a fantasy when they had sex with her.
