U.S.-based clean fuel startup Koloma, backed by Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos, aims to leverage expertise from the hydrocarbon industry to explore geologic hydrogen as a clean energy source. Geologic hydrogen, or "white gold," is found naturally underground and could play a pivotal role in the global energy transition. Koloma CEO Pete Johnson highlighted that utilizing oil, gas, and mining industries' existing resources could expedite the process. The company has raised over $305 million.
