Taiwan Announces Plans to Develop New Coast Guard Ship Fleet

Taiwan has commissioned a new fleet of domestically made patrol ships for its coast guard, allocating more than US$400 million for the 10-year project. They will be equipped with advanced weapons systems to help patrol Taiwan's territorial waters and support its distant-water fisheries.
