CEO Ethan Brown stated the product will likely debut with a health-oriented restaurant chain, moving away from fast-food partnerships. Beyond’s strategy includes cost-cutting and promoting plant-based health benefits through collaborations like the American Cancer Society. The new steak, made with mycelium, mimics the texture of filet and contains fewer ingredients, high protein, and low saturated fat.
