Written by Gabriel Sherman and directed by Ali Abbasi, and starring Sebastian Stan as Donald Trump, Jeremy Strong as Roy Cohn, and Maria Bakalova as Ivana Trump, The Apprentice focuses on young Donald Trump, eager to make his name as a hungry second son of a wealthy family in 1970s New York, who comes under the spell of Roy Cohn (Jeremy Strong), the cutthroat attorney who would help create the Donald Trump we know today. Briarcliff Entertainment will distribute the film.
