Mercer Marsh Benefits recently released its People Risk 2024 report, identifying Asia's 25 top people risk in the post-pandemic era. Some of the top concerns are consistent with the Global Top 25 People Risks. Such differences reflect the different growth rates experienced by markets across the region. The report also highlights and analyses three significant blind spots that have gained importance since its identification in 2022: rising health and benefit costs, mental health challenges among the workforce, and the decline of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Keeping sights on the future, the 2024 report also predicts three new blind spots that will impact human capital, underscoring the urgent need for strategic planning and review of current human resources-related policies and procedures.
