Formed in Philadelphia as Thomas A. Edison Electric Band they released a single in 1966/67 without any sales results. In 1967 under the moniker The Chimps they recorded two album of covers of the Monkees "Monkey business" and "Monkey a-go-go" stil with no commercial results. In 1968 the group moved to San Francisco, shortened their name, where signed to Cotillon, and recorded their only album "Bless you Dr. Woodward". The sound ranges from diverse genres including hints of bluesy psychedelia, country rock, pop-rock and conventional rock, with good technical profiency and good vocals, but with a marked abscence of a distinctive sound. Sales where very poor and some months later the band dissolved.
