At least 33 dead after dam collapsed due to floods in Yemen

At least 33 people died and 28 homes were destroyed due to the collapse of a dam in the mountainous Yemeni province of Al-Mahweet as a result of heavy rains and the consequent floods that are devastating several parts of Yemen, according to a report by the Houthis-run Saba news Agency. Heavy rains and flash floods have hit large parts of Yemen over the past few weeks, leaving about 98 people killed and over 600 others injured, according to a statement by the United Nations.
