Deadly disease spread by mosquitoes alerts communities in Massachusetts
Massachusetts communities are on alert as a deadly virus spread by mosquitoes threatens locals.
Some towns have taken measures to prevent the spread of the Eastern Equine Encephalitis virus (often called Triple E) by closing parks after dusk, restricting outdoor activities, and rescheduling public events.
Fever, headache, vomiting, diarrhea, seizures, behavioral changes, and drowsiness can be symptoms of the virus, local media reported, adding that thirty percent of patients infected with the virus die.
