The Inflation Reduction Act has sparked over $133 billion in announced investments and $89 billion in actual investments in clean energy, manufacturing, and related sectors since passing in August 2022. Over 270 manufacturing projects for clean energy and electric vehicles have been announced that will create over 100,000 new jobs. Rural communities have particularly benefited from the manufacturing investments, which are more spread out than other industries.
