Adam Hoyland and his brother took on a daring challenge: trying surströmming, famously known as the smelliest food in the world.

With high hopes and a can in hand, they prepared for what they thought would be an interesting taste test.

As soon as they cracked open the can, the overpowering odor filled the room, and Adam couldn’t handle it, promptly vomiting.

His brother, determined to see it through, took over, but soon faced the same grim fate.

It became clear that this was a one-time adventure they wouldn’t repeat.
