Delta Air Lines said the CrowdStrike outage and subsequent flight cancellations last month cost the company around $550 million. This includes a $380 million hit to revenue in the current quarter from refunding customers and providing compensation for canceled flights. Delta also faced a $170 million expense from dealing with the outage and recovering operations. Delta is pursuing legal action against CrowdStrike and Microsoft to recoup costs from the incident. CrowdStrike claims Delta is pushing a "misleading narrative" and that they contacted Delta within hours to offer support.
