Very little is known about Russian born German violinist and bandleader Adolf Ginsburg, who originally was from St. Petersburg and who is said to have fled the Soviet Union shortly after the Revolution in 1917. In the late 1920's he founded his own dance band in Berlin. He soon was highly successful and performed in the most fashionable restaurants and dance establishments. Nothing is known about his activites after 1933, when he (being a Jew) may well have left Germany. This outstanding record (offering the melody of I Found A Million Dollar Baby with slightly altered German lyrics) was made in 1932. Vocal by Paul Dorn.
