Olympics gender row- IOC says it wasn't a man boxing a woman
The IOC spokesperson, Mark Adams said rules cannot be changed mid-way through an event.

Imane Khelif, 25, is one of two boxers at the centre of a huge controversy at the Olympics, having been said by the International Boxing Association (IBA) to have failed a sex test at last year’s World Championships.

The IOC insists Khelif and Lin Yu‑ting, of Chinese Taipei, meet its eligibility criteria, with the situation complicated by the fact that, as an international governing body, the IBA is suspended, with the IOC running the boxing competition in Paris itself.
