A couple created their own clothing brand so they could wear colourful and size-inclusive matching outfits with their two rescue dogs.

Bree Kish, 28, immediately knew she wanted to try and find matching clothing for her and her two Mexican hairless dogs - Toby and Linus.

But as a plus-sized woman with a love for colourful prints she struggled to find inclusive and fun clothing.

Bree, a size 2XL, decided to create her own clothes instead with her partner Matthew Serrano, 26, and the couple have now launched their own brand - Toby and Linus.

Now the couple get to match with their two pups in colourful and size inclusive clothing.

Bree, a model, from Los Angeles, California, US, said: "Matching with my dogs is something that I think is so fun and dopamine inducing.

"I’ve always gravitated towards pieces that were bold, eye-catching and sometimes even humorous.

"Personally I don’t think there’s anything more eye-catching than matching with your furry (or in my case, not so furry) companion."

Matthew, a film maker, said: "When you throw clothes on your pet it brings out their personality in ways people don't even realise.

"Linus looks like a little man when he puts on a little sweater."

The couple, who have been together for five years, rescued their dog October - which they shortened to Toby in July 2022 and Linus six months later.

Matthew said: "We love them so much.

"They are both hairless so we immediately started buying clothes for them.

"Immediately Bree wanted to match with them."

But Bree struggled to find anything that went past a size XL, or that wasn't "cheap" or had "bland" and "boring" designs.

Matthew said: "She loves dressing super childlike in bold colours.

"One day she came to me and said if only there was a way to have matching human and god clothing that was size inclusive and fun."

Bree added: "It started out as a necessity for my two hairless pups.

"I wasn’t excited about the designs or fabric choices currently in the world. It then blossomed into a love letter to colour, the plus size community and the bond between humans and their pets.

"I’ve always been someone who had a playful sense of style and I wanted that to be available to other people like me."

Matthew went away and drew up a business plan in February 2023 and the pair hit the ground running before launching in February 2024.

They now have a collection of colourful matching sweaters, tanks, a dress and accessories - which start at $130 for a pet and human set.

Matthew's favourite design is their hat which reads - 'I literally gave birth to my dog' - and their new purple Halloween jumpers.

He said: "I'm really excited wear it.

"I'm really excited for it to be Halloween and us all be matching."

They stock up to a size 4XL for humans - and hope to expand this further - and a size XL for dogs.

Matthew said: "A 120lbs dog has worn one and a large adult pig was able to wear a sweater.

"People don't expect large dogs to be wearing cute clothes.

"No one gets left behind."

The couple say their dogs love wearing the outfits - which are also important to protect their skin from the sun.

Matthew said: "They just love them all.

"Once they are on they are so excited. They wear them all the time.

"Bree has been wearing the dress she designed all summer. They've been matching all the time."

The couple are also passionate about promoting and encouraging people to rescue animals.

All the dog models on their website are rescue animals.
