Donald Trump falsely claimed that Vice President Kamala Harris failed the California bar exam, during an interview at the National Association of Black Journalists conference. Trump responded to a question about stepping down if unable to continue as president by challenging Harris to a cognitive test, claiming, "She failed her bar exam." Harris has acknowledged that she did not pass the bar exam on her first attempt but later passed and was admitted to the California Bar the year after she finished law school.  The bar exam passage rate in California has historically been around 50%.
