Renters' advocates say an end to no grounds evictions in New South Wales will help provide better security for tenants. Under the current law, landlords are able to terminate rolling leases at any time without a reason. But under the proposed legislation they'd have to meet one of several thresholds for eviction, including selling the property or if the tenant causes damage.
