President Tayyip Erdogan announced that Türkiye might intervene in Israel, similar to past actions in Libya and Nagorno-Karabakh.

Erdogan, a vocal critic of Israel's Gaza offensive, made these remarks while praising Türkiye’s defense industry.

In response, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz compared Erdogan to former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. Hussein's regime was overthrown by a U.S.-led invasion in 2003, leading to his capture, trial, and execution by an Iraqi court.
