This is the devastation left by Typhoon Gaemi in Manila - damaged houses and muddied streets littered with debris after heavy rains triggered floods in the Philippine capital.

Provinces around Manila were also affected. At least 12 people have lost their lives and over 600,000 have been displaced.

The typhoon did not make landfall in the Philippines but intensified seasonal monsoon rains, causing landslides and flooding.
