Port of Spain South MP Keith Scotland tells TV6 News that he is humbled and grateful to serve as the new Minister in the Ministry of National Security with responsibility for policing issues.

Mr. Scotland spoke briefly with our Political Editor Juhel Browne on Thursday evening, after the Prime Minister announced that he had determined that the new Cabinet portfolio is needed.

The Prime Minister said it is part of a focus on policing which is separate from the other elements of national security.
