The escalation has forced approximately 150,000 residents to flee their homes within just 24 hours, highlighting the severe humanitarian crisis unfolding in the region.

As of now, the Israel-Gaza conflict has claimed the lives of over 39,145 people, with more than 90,257 injured. This includes casualties from a series of deadly attacks by Hamas on Israel on October 7, which have resulted in 1,139 deaths and the ongoing captivity of several individuals in Gaza.

First Ships Arrive in Yemen's Hodeidah Harbour Post-Israeli Strike

In Yemen, the port of Hodeidah has received its first container ships since an Israeli strike targeted fuel storage tanks, causing a massive blaze. The attack, reported to be the first by Israel on Yemen, led to significant damage, including the destruction of cranes and oil tanks. Despite these challenges, operations at the port, a vital entry point for fuel and humanitarian aid to Houthi-controlled areas, continue under tight conditions.

Protests in Washington D.C. Ahead of Netanyahu's Congressional Address

Meanwhile, in Washington D.C., around 1,500 demonstrators have gathered to protest against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's scheduled speech to the U.S. Congress. The protesters, including members of the Palestinian Youth Movement, are voicing their discontent with the U.S. government's unwavering support for Israel amid the Gaza conflict. They express particular frustration with President Joe Biden's administration and Vice President Kamala Harris, who is seen as a strong supporter of pro-Israel policies.

This widespread unrest underscores the growing international concern and backlash against the ongoing violence in Gaza and the broader region.
