Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a senior political official and spokesman for the Houthis, addressed Israel’s Attack on Yemen’s Red Sea port city of Hodeidah on Al Jazeera. The discussion centred on the Houthis' decision to attack Tel Aviv, despite anticipating significant Israeli retaliation. Al-Bukhaiti stated that the 'Zionist enemy' had attacked civil establishments, necessitating a painful reply. He emphasised that the Zionist entity would never achieve its goals without British and American support. Regarding the impact of Israeli retaliation on Hodeidah, al-Bukhaiti affirmed their unwavering support for Palestinians, describing it as a humanitarian, ethical, and religious duty. He asserted that Israeli attacks would only strengthen their resolve to halt the 'genocide' in Gaza, regardless of the sacrifices required. Al-Bukhaiti also discussed the Houthis' military capabilities and their coordination with other regional resistance groups.
