Trump delivered his first major speech since being shot at a Pennsylvania rally, describing the assassination attempt in great detail for the first time. He said a bullet came within a quarter inch of hitting him as he turned his head, and that his right hand and ear were covered in blood after being hit. Secret Service agents rushed the stage as bullets continued to fly, pouncing on top of Trump to protect him. A Secret Service sniper then took out the assassin with one bullet from a greater distance, ending the shooting. One person was killed, and two others were seriously injured but are recovering.
