Jin, the oldest member of K-pop supergroup BTS, carried the Olympic torch on Sunday in the area of Paris’ Louvre Museum after recently completing his mandatory military service.

The 31-year-old singer is representing South Korea in the torch relay in the hope of spreading a message of “harmony” and “peace,” according to a statement from the band’s production company.
