Day 6 began in Kargil, the city renowned for its pivotal role in the 1999 conflict, with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Kargil War Memorial, honouring fallen soldiers. Riders then embarked on a challenging journey through the Batalik Sector to Leh, opting for a route laden with historical significance and strategic importance due to its proximity to the Line of Control. The first stop was Hambuting La, a gateway to Batalik, where the 1999 Kargil War's fierce battles were fought, including the valorous efforts of Captain Manoj Pandey and the 70 Infantry Brigade under Brigadier Devinder Singh. The route, dotted with historical and cultural landmarks like Alchi Monastery, Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and Sangam Point, allowed the riders to honour the past and find peace in the present, as they traversed through the villages of Aryan tribes and eventually reached the brigade headquarters in Batalik. The journey concluded with a flag-off to Leh, capturing the breathtaking and rugged beauty of the region, symbolising gratitude, respect, and an unbreakable bond of brotherhood.
