Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday, July 3, alleged that Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had lied in Parliament on compensation to families of Agniveers who lost their lives in the line of duty. He also cited an interview of the father of Agniveer Ajay Kumar who claimed that he had not received any money. After Gandhi's attack, the Indian Army issued a clarification stating that Kumar's has already been paid INR 98.39 lakh out of the amount due.
