She pretended to cut Oliver's favorite toy's nails, telling the toy it would be rewarded with going to the park and getting a cookie. She had hoped this would show the Doberman that it's not painful and would entice him into doing it too. However, as soon as she so much as pointed the nail cutter in Oliver's direction, he ran away.
