On June 11, a massive fire broke out at a sanitary napkin factory in Bhiwandi, Thane. No casualties have been reported, a civic official told PTI. The fire began at the factory, located in Saravli industrial area, around 3 am, Bhiwandi-Nizampur Municipal Corporation disaster management cell official Raju Warlikar told PTI. Fire Brigade teams rushed to the spot and the blaze was brought under control. No injuries were reported. However, the raw material stored in the factory was gutted. Investigation is underway.
