Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on countries to end their involvement in crimes that have taken the form of months of deadly attacks on the Gaza Strip by stopping supplying weapons to Israel.
"Countries that provide ammunition and weapons support to Israel's massacres must now refrain from being involved in this crime," said Turkish President Erdogan at a press conference in Ankara, as reported by Anadolu on Friday.
In addition to encouraging the international community, which he said has not done enough to end the "carnage" in Gaza, President Erdogan urged all responsible parties to take careful action to help achieve an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Israel has continued its brutal attacks on Gaza since the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, despite a United Nations (UN) Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire.
Local health authorities recorded that around 36,600 Palestinians had been killed in Gaza, most of whom were women and children. Then more than 83,000 other Palestinians were injured.
Eight months into Israel's war, much of Gaza has been devastated by a crippling blockade of food, clean water, and medicine.
Israel has been accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice, whose latest ruling ordered Tel Aviv to immediately halt its operations in the southern city of Rafah, where more than a million Palestinians sought refuge from war before it was invaded on May 6.
