Farmers hopeful for wet conditions after near-record dry season in WA

As the much-anticipated break in the weather is forecast to bring rain to WA's grain growing regions this week, farmers are wrapping up their seeding programs, which many began back in early April. With the state experiencing one of the hottest, longest, and driest summer seasons on record, and with planting down on last year, analysts predict the eventual harvest income for the state's coffers will also be affected.
