An engine fire broke out on a United Airlines Airbus A320 plane at Chicago O'Hare Airport before a flight to Seattle on Memorial Day. Cell phone video from inside the plane showed smoke coming from the area near the wing. The plane taxied out to the runway but was halted before takeoff due to an engine issue, temporarily stopping airport operations. Passengers deplaned and the smoking aircraft was towed back to the gate while operations resumed shortly after.
