The Energy Ministry received a total of six bids for four of the thirteen offshore blocks in its 2023/2024 Shallow Water Bid Round for hydrocarbon exploration in this country.

However, the Energy Minister says this augers well as it shows a continuation of three major upstream exploration companies continuing to show a commitment in Trinidad and Tobago.

A similar sentiment was expressed by the President of bpTT.

This, as there was also an announcement by the Energy Minister of another utility scale solar project for this country.
