Planters nuts, including Honey Roasted Peanuts and Deluxe Lightly Salted Mixed Nuts, have been recalled by Hormel Foods due to potential listeria contamination. The products were produced at one Hormel facility and distributed to Publix and Dollar Tree warehouses in southeastern states including Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Listeria can cause symptoms like fever, headache, and nausea in healthy individuals but more serious infections in young, elderly, and those with weak immune systems. There have been no reported illnesses but consumers should not eat the recalled products and return them for a refund. Hormel is investigating the potential contamination source.
