Tesla has issued a voluntary recall for over 3,800 Cybertruck vehicles over a "trapped pedal" issue. The recall addresses the issue seen in a viral TikTok video by a Cybertruck owner showing unintended acceleration. A pad on the accelerator pedal could come loose and get trapped in the interior trim. Tesla acknowledged the defect was caused by an "unapproved change" introducing lubricant during assembly. Cybertruck deliveries have been low at under 4,000 since late November 2023 launches. Tesla reported disappointing first-quarter deliveries, down 8.5% year-over-year.
