A woman quit Hinge to start "dating herself" and said it totally changed her life in just three months.
Mimi Watt, 29, deleted the dating app in January 2024 when she realised she wanted to focus more on her relationship with herself than with men.
She wasn't a "super scroller" but would spent hours a week on Hinge and finding love.
Now since deleting she says her business has boomed, she resigned from two jobs and is moving 3,000 miles to Bali.
She has also attracted "incredible people" into her life without trying, she says.
Mimi said she has no intention to return to the daily scrawl of the dating apps and is committed to helping other women do the same.
Mimi, a dating and relationship coach, from Sydney, Australia, said: "At the beginning of the year I decided that I wanted to focus more on my relationship with myself.
"I felt like spending time swiping on Hinge and doing all that was dividing my focus in a way that didn't feel good anymore.
"I wanted to experiment and completely switch off mentally and physically from Hinge and pour that energy back into myself.
"The results have been drastic, I really put that down to taking that initial break from looking outside of myself for pleasure or fulfilment and redirecting that back to myself."
After the break down of a relationship in the beginning of 2023, Mimi said she didn't date for the majority of the year.
She said she got to the point where she wanted to "experiment" and would be dating a handful of people from time to time.
Mimi said: "The apps were great at one point, I was dating a handful of people.
"Some lasted a month, some lasted a few months.
"That was a great confidence booster and even to speak about myself like I hadn't before.
"I do think apps are a great way to meet people, and I think they serve a great purpose.
"My whole message is that you don't need to rely on them to meet people and have an exciting experience."
Since deleting Hinge in January, Mimi said that her life has gone from strength to strength.
Mimi said that switching off dating apps has allowed her to figure out her "self worth" and learn to love herself.
She said: "In previous years I didn't have the sense of self worth and the confidence I have now and that impacted my relationships.
"In the past year I feel more secure with myself and know my self worth.
"The reason my self worth and connection increased was because I knew that I didn't have that romantic interest to meet my needs whether that be affection, company or assurance.
"It has forced me to dive deeper into myself and ask how I can make those needs myself.
"Through doing that, it has given me the sense of security."
Since deleting the apps, Mimi has packed up life in Sydney and in the process of moving to Bali.
She said: "I was asked to move out of the apartment as my housemate wanted to live alone.
"I was at the point where I needed somewhere else to live, I was talking to a good friend of mine at work.
