Dongfeng Aeolus' new SUV, Fengshen L7, was unveiled on March 30, 2024. The new car is positioned as a compact SUV and is expected to be officially introduced at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2024. In terms of power, this model is the first model equipped with Dongfeng's new plug-in hybrid system, Mach PHREV, and is also the first model with a comprehensive range of up to 1,500 kilometers.
In terms of appearance, the overall appearance of the new car is very simple. It adopts Fengshen new design language, and its front face adopts a closed front grille, highlighting the new energy state. The heat dissipation point of the engine is located at the bottom of the car, and the design of the entire car makes the overall front face look more coordinated. A transitional light strip is added to the upper part of the grille, connecting the upper and narrow LED headlight sets with the split headlight sets on both sides. The lower light set is located on both sides of the subframe using a decorative light.
Straight and rigid body lines give a good feeling of power. Wide wheel arches, ultra-high ground clearance and 5-spoke blacked wheels demonstrate good passing ability. The body dimensions of the new car are 4670mm*1900mm*1625mm in length, width and height respectively, and the wheelbase is 2775mm.
The multi-line tail design looks more layered. The through-type tail light set mirrors the headlights and is highly recognizable when illuminated. The upper part adopts a 2-section suspended ceiling design, and the lower part adopts a blackened lower diffuser design, full of sporty temperament.
Coming to the interior, the orange interior color scheme makes the overall interior look energetic. The center console adopts the design layout of 10.25-inch floating full LCD instrument panel and 14.6-inch floating central control large screen. In terms of configuration, it is equipped with WindLink OS 3.0 intelligent system, which has voice recognition control and mobile App remote control functions, and supports vehicle networks, navigation systems, Wi-Fi hotspots, OTA upgrades and other functions.
In terms of power, it is equipped with 1.5T engine + electric motor to form Mach PRHEV plug-in hybrid system. The maximum power of the engine is 113kW. It is equipped with a China New 30.32kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. Under NEDC operating conditions, fuel consumption is 3.8 L per 100 kilometers and the comprehensive range is up to 1,500 kilometers, and the pure electric range can reach up to 205 kilometers.
