New Image of the Milky Way’s Supermassive Black Hole Center Reveal Familiar, ‘Twisted’ Magnetic Fields

At the center of the Milky Way, our galaxy, there is a supermassive black hole named Sagittarius A*. Just a few years ago astronomers captured the first photo of it and it looks like this, but now researchers have taken another look. This time taking a snapshot of the black hole’s magnetic field lines and the results could change the way we consider black holes.
