Rishi Sunak announced his three-step plan to support small businesses, by promising to introduce 20,000 more apprenticeships, fund training for young people and cut red tape for small businesses. The prime minister insisted his plan for economic growth "is starting to work" during the speech at the Small and Medium Enterprises event. "Inflation has more than halved and is falling fast, growth is higher than anyone expected and debt is starting to fall," Mr Sunak said.
