Lauren Lee McCarthy's artwork “Are you the perfect specimen?” is a site-specific commission for Mandeville Art Gallery’s exterior screen created in collaboration with the artist Casey Reas. Developed as part of the current “Bodily Autonomy” exhibition, “Are you the perfect specimen?” features the artist “tongue-texting” this statement along with others to invite the public into the Mandeville Art Gallery. During the exhibition, which runs until May 25, 2024, the gallery operates as a gathering space for programs and conversation surrounding the themes of bodily agency and bio-surveillance.

Lauren Lee McCarthy's artwork “Are you the perfect specimen?” is on view daily on the exterior screen of the Mandeville Art Gallery from 7am through 10pm, as part of the current exhibition, Lauren Lee McCarthy: Bodily Autonomy.
