The $2,200 Honor Magic V2 RSR is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and has two large displays.
Porsche Design has introduced a special version of the innovative Honor Magic V2, the world's thinnest foldable smartphone. The Porsche variant, called RSR, benefits from a number of unique styling touches while retaining the same hardware as the standard device. Sales began in China last month and will be available in other markets later this year.
The German brands' design studio has prepared a new shell for the phone, featuring a distinctive 'flight line' inspired by the hood of the Porsche 911. Additionally, the Honor Magic V2 is finished in Agate Gray tone from the Porsche color palette. and the rear camera housing now features a dark titanium frame with a trapezoidal redesign.
All Magic V2 RSRs ship with a stylus and a protective case inside the box. Honor has also equipped the device with 1TB of storage instead of 512GB and has also fitted a display with an industry-first 'Anti-Scratch Nano Crystal Shield' that provides improved scratch resistance. Changes to the Porsche Design version have added 3g, meaning the Honor V2 RSR now weighs 235 grams and remains class leading.
Powering the Porsche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and 16GB of RAM. It has a 7.92-inch foldable OLED display and a 6.43-inch external OLED display. Honor has also gone the extra mile with the device's camera setup, installing a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 20-megapixel telephoto camera.
In China, the smartphone will set buyers back 15,999 yuan (~$2,200), but that figure is likely to rise in international markets.
