#WikiLeaks’ founder Julian Assange was ‘too ill’ to appear at his appeal hearing against his extradition from the UK to the U.S. his lawyers said. It’s his final bid to avoid being sent to the U.S. where he’s been accused of leaking top-military secrets about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Hundreds of thousands of #military and diplomatic documents were published on the WikiLeaks website 12 years ago. It’s claimed he helped former intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning download the secret files from government websites.
