Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the farmers have requested a guarantee for Minimum Support Price (MSP) on the purchase of pulses. This comes after the fourth round of talks between Union Ministers and farmer leaders. Mann told reporters that he was in the meeting as an advocate of the farmers. CM Mann said, “The discussions went on for five hours. I talked about the benefits for Punjab. We had asked for an MSP guarantee on the purchase of pulses, which was discussed today.” Earlier, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that they had a very positive discussion with the farmers. Goyal added that farmer leaders will announce their decision on the government proposals by February 19. Farmers began their ‘Delhi Chalo’ march on February 13. Watch the video to know more.
