A bizarre video shows hundreds of thousands of sardines washing up on a shore in the Philippines.

The video filmed in Sarangani shows people gathered on the shore watching the sardines as they all leap out of the water and travel towards the shore.

People can be seen scooping the fish up and transferring them into large buckets.

The incident happened on January 7.
