In preparation for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Jayant Chaudhary's Rashtriya Lok Dal has confirmed an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttar Pradesh. The RLD will contest two Lok Sabha seats and has been promised a Rajya Sabha seat. This adds pressure to the INDIA alliance. Chaudhary praised PM Narendra Modi's understanding of the nation's pulse.
