The narrative describes the red moon occurrence in history, which is the abrupt appearance of a blood-red moon in the sky. The fortified city forced the surviving inhabitants to hide. Some of the survivors experienced mental changes as well. Among them, mental radiation and pestilence would emanate from individuals unable to regulate their own mental alterations. It is highly dangerous to the humans that are still alive and contaminates the regular people in its vicinity.
