Birmingham headlines 26 January: Teenager found guilty of Kings Heath murder after electric bike dispute

A teenager has been found guilty of the fatal stabbing and robbery of a man in Kings Heath in April last year. Terrell Boyce, aged 18, from Stirchley was found guilty of murdering Ronique Thomas at Birmingham Crown Court on Thursday.

West Midlands Police have recovered three guns and seized more than £100,000 after armed officers stopped a car in Stechford after receiving intelligence. The 30 year old driver was arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.

Sharon Baker, a city centre bank worker and dedicated hedgehog rescuer, will receive a special award for her voluntary work saving the city's hedgehogs through her non-profit, Array4Hogs Hedgehog Rescue. The recognition comes amidst a surge in hedgehog rescues, highlighting the impact of urban hazards and climate change on wildlife.
