Anayat sweets and bakers are famous for their motichur laddu. Anayat Sweets and Bakers has been in Lahore since 1923. It’s located at 16 Ganpat Rd., Anarkali Bazar, Lahore. From far away, people come to eat their laddu’s. When Sikhs come from India, they come to Anayat sweets and bakers and take their laddu to India. And it has been 100 years since people ate their laddu’s at the birth of children.
The owner of Anayat Sweets and Bakers, Haji Mehmood Ahmed, added, Motichur laddu is a soft, delish melt-in-the-mouth laddu made mainly with gram flour, sugar, and spices. The gram flour batter is fried to make tiny balls, or boondi, mixed with sugar syrup, nuts, or seeds, and later shaped into neat round balls.
