The bizarre video shows the moment a rare Siberian tiger walks in front of a car in the middle of a road.Smartphone footage shows the endangered animal, also known as the Amur tiger, clearing the way of a puzzled driver in the city of Helong, in Jilin, China, on January 6.The animal can be seen walking in front of the car and randomly changing lanes on the national motorway in the middle of the night, before taking a turn to the right and letting the driver pass.The Siberian tiger which is native to the Russian Far East, Northeast China, and possibly North Korea, is listed as 'Endangered' on IUCN's Red List of Threatened Species.Reports state that only fewer than 600 Siberian tigers remain in the wild, while several hundred more are kept in zoos and nature parks worldwide.Its population is predominantly threatened by growing human communities, habitat loss, illegal hunting and expanded trade in tiger parts used as traditional medicines.
