I've been ringing like anklet bells, so clear,
Dancing through the hours, chasing my cheer,
Sometimes in this step, light on my feet,
Sometimes in that step, life's rhythm I meet,
Like the jingles on my ankles, my heart's a drum,
Beating to the moments, to the dreams that come,
Every twist, every turn, a melody plays,
Echoing joy in my sunny-days ballets.
In every leap, in every spin, I find my tune,
Under the silver moon or the bright sun of June,
With each step forward, hope's song swells,
I have been ringing like anklet bells.
