In a devastating incident overnight, at least 11 Iranian police officers lost their lives in a jihadist-claimed attack on a police station in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchistan. The assailants are believed to be associated with the Sunni Muslim jihadist group Jaish al-Adl. They engaged in a shootout with security forces, resulting in casualties on both sides.
